Our community is tucked into the end of a peaceful mountain valley, free of sounds other than

those coming from the abundant streams, waterfalls and wild bird life which grace the development.

Yet this seclusion does not come at the price of being isolated. The vibrant mountain town of Bryson

City is just ten minutes away, and reached by state-maintained paved road ( the final .8 mile of

paving work is scheduled for completion by Spring of 2008.

Within a 15-20 minute drive, you will find an unparalleled array of outdoor recreational activities.

Hike, horseback ride and sightsee in the 550,000+ acres of The Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

The Nantahala Gorge offers whitewater rafting, kayaking, canoeing, mountain hiking and biking

adventures. Fontana Lake is over 12,000 acres of pristine wilderness lake surrounded by National

Forests and The Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The Tsali  Recreational Preserve provides

over 40 miles of hiking, biking and horseback riding trails. The Little Tennessee and Tuckasegee rivers

and numerous National Forests collectively provide an unlimited choice of outdoor adventure opportunities.

The nearby town of Cherokee provides fascinating insights into the culture and heritage of the

Eastern Tribe of the Cherokee Nation, as well as exciting gaming at Harrah's Casino. Just over an

hour's drive away is the unusually cosmopolitan city of Asheville, consistently chosen one of the best

"little" cities in the country. It offers an easily accessible airport, theaters, shopping malls and arcades,

a variety of restaurants and clubs, and one-of-a-kind attractions like the Biltmore Estate and the Grove Park Inn.

All of these amenities are easily reached via Highway 74/23, providing four lanes of safe, scenic and

uncrowded passage from our location in Swain County. It is unlikely that over-development will cause any

dramatic changes in lifestyle or driving pleasure, since approximately 87% of Swain County is owned by the

Federal Government or the Cherokee Tribe, and is not available for private development.
